How it works
All processing happens locally, in your browser. Your image is never sent to any server, which keeps things more private and secure. JPG and WebP are formats with adjustable compression: the lower the chosen quality, the smaller the final file, at the cost of more visible artifacts. PNG is a lossless format — there's no "quality level" to adjust, so the tool just re-encodes the file, without changing the image's fidelity.
