How it works
A "slug" is the readable part of a URL (e.g. in kastavo.com/blog/how-to-build-a-site, "how-to-build-a-site" is the slug). Friendly URLs help with SEO and are easier to read and share. The tool lowercases the text, strips accents, swaps spaces and special characters for hyphens, and collapses duplicate or edge hyphens. Used by CMSs, blogs, online stores, and static site generators to name pages, posts, and products.
