Email Validator

Enter an email address and see whether the format is valid, right in your browser.

How it works

This validator checks the address format at a practical level — not the full RFC 5322 specification (which allows edge cases rarely used in practice, like parenthesized comments or fully-quoted local parts). It checks: exactly one "@"; a local part (before the "@") with no spaces, consecutive dots, or leading/trailing dots, using only characters accepted by most providers; and a domain (after the "@") with at least one dot and a 2+ letter extension. Important: a valid format doesn't mean the mailbox exists or receives mail — confirming that requires sending a verification email, which this tool doesn't do.
